In the universe, everything is formed from the arrangement of smaller components. This idea inspired the design of a modular lamp that innovatively repurposes the slats of old metal blinds, originally intended for controlling light. In this project, the recycled slats are creatively utilized to distribute light in a 360-degree manner instead of blocking it. The main challenge of this design was to use the least amount of materials possible to create a lightweight, efficient, and sustainable lamp. With its striking and modular form, this lamp offers diverse configurations for light control and reflection. The interplay of light and shadow, achieved by the curvature of each slat while keeping the light source out of direct view, along with vibrant and energetic colors, creates a unique and dynamic atmosphere. The dimensions of this lamp are 130 centimeters in length and 25 centimeters in diameter.
