The redesign of the interiors of the Hilton Almenat common areas came from the idea of creating specific interventions that could adapt the existing spaces to the hotel new demands without significantly affecting its functioning during the works. Much of the hotel existing furniture and works of art were reused, the majority consisting of pieces made of wood in natural tones. Furthermore, the project maintained original exposed concrete pillars and perimeter walls untouched. On this basis, new layers of intervention were superimposed. All steel structures and metalwork with wired glass that are part of the intervention, such as ceilings, pivoting doors, counters, shelves and cabinets, receive the application of specific colors for each of the three floors of the common areas. The main objective was to highlight the contrast between the new and original elements of the project. All existing ceilings were removed and the installations were exposed over the new hollow ceilings.
