Description

Sepiz is an Industrial Design undergraduate thesis titled "Designing a Board Game Centered on Glocalization to Introduce Iranian Cultural and Identity Elements". This Project is an endeavor to synthesize traditional Iranian games and culture with modern board game design principles, creating a cohesive tabletop experience. The name ''Sepiz'' (meaning shimmer or glow in Middle Persian) is a competitive-strategy board game for 3 to 5 players. It draws inspiration from the traditional Iranian game Bala-Bolandi and Zoroastrian philosophical concepts. In this game, players act as "Guardians of Light", striving to reclaim various points on the map from darkness. Conversely, the role of the "Shadow" -which may shift between players each round- is to obstruct the light and prevent to spread. Core Game Mechanics: Changing Tag, Area Control, Dice Mechanic, Card System, Resource Management.
