Description
Mar Adentro is a dining table made to stimulate our senses. Boldness and tradition, memory and innovation coexist in a design that plays with the viewer's visual perception. Through illusions of movement, resulting from a geometry that drinks from sources ranging from Op Art to the fish pens on the beaches of Alagoas, the table causes an impact of a kinetic sculpture, taking on different shapes depending on the angle from which it is observed. The inspiration was the beaches of northeastern Brazil that have traces of ancient fishing traditions called “Currais de Peixes”. With wooden stakes and artisanal nets, the fishermen built labyrinths that, during high tide, attracted fish to the interior, which remained there when the tide went out. Replaced by more modern fishing practices, what remained were the ruins of this culture, which still make up the paradisiacal landscapes of northeastern Brazil. To preserve our culture, we rescued this memory in the base format of a table, thus awakening affective memories of those who have been lost on the beaches of Brazil. Designed with the highest technology and produced with the mastery and exclusivity of handmade work, the Mar Adentro table shows the union of two worlds that, when they complement each other, surprise by the uniqueness of this union, where innovation and tradition go hand in hand. As a decorative element, the possibilities for customizing the table are surprising, with a choice of tops of different sizes and materials, such as wood, marble, granite and glass, both in rectangular and oblong formats. The reinforced steel base, in addition to being sculptural, comes in a variety of color options, adapting to different profiles of interior projects. More than a functional object, the Mar Adentro table transits between art and design, between function and emotion, tradition and innovation, showing that the complex world we live in does not exclude or limit, but expands concepts and possibilities, in order to meet this timeless need. by surprise, exclusivity and beauty.
