This lamp/piece of art is an ode to the teamwork, to the sisterhood! Together we're more than our sum. The piece consists 9 sculpted glass ballerinas in a mirrored see-through glassbox. There's a 2W LED under each ballerina to make the figures glow. The reflection multiplies the ballerinas to continue their lines and rows to the eternity. This piece is my "Bravo!" to the corps de ballet dancers' magical illusion of the seamless togetherness. Already the term corps de ballet tells how essential they are for a ballet. They are the core of the piece, the supporting structure of the whole production. I started to sculpt the glass ballerinas more than a year ago. It became an every-day morning routine, almost like a ritual. Just like when being a professional dancer I always started my day by doing a ballet class. A proper warm-up to the glass blowing day with the meditative concentration. This piece of art can also be used as a little coffee table / side table.
