Description
The design is based on an arch-shaped bridge, which is a convenient form for conducting compressive loads. Additionally, this design incorporates the concept of multi-functionality and flexibility. The whole product consists of two main parts. On top, there is a position for sitting, and on the bottom, there is a support for carrying loads. By rotating the upper part of the seat 180 degrees and changing the position of the main arch, the inner part of the arch could also be used for another function. Depending on the user's interaction, this product can be used in various states. It is generally a chair made of arch-shape plywoods laid side by side. Top components rotate around a hing to make different form. For further strength, plywood components are continuously incorporated into the support. Small components are embedded to limit the arch swirling.
