Description
This necklace inspired by the ancient Persian art of khatamkari ,traditionally used to adorn grand doors and classical architecture in Iran .on each side of the necklace, seven miniature inlaid doors represent the "seven labors"of self discovery.between them lie faceted American turquoise stones symbols of hope along lifes difficult path.at the center sits a larger door,inspired by the concept of an "inner gate". It opens to reveal a small mirror reminding the wearer:true understanding is found by looking within only after crossing life’s seven trails.spiraling forms set with green and blue diamonds echo the complex yet luminous journey towards the self.this piece merges Iranian heritage spiritual philosophy and modern design for the contemporary world.
