Description

The design of this necklace emerged form a profound challenge to capture the spirit and essence of a dense, living forest topography without incorporating a single literal element like a leaf, flower, or animal motif. My inspiration began with the silent substrate the earth itself. I studied the topographical maps of deep forest areas, observing the fluid, yet structured, contours created by elevation and waterways. This led to the core design philosophy: living form on a silent substrate. The intense green emeralds are strategically placed to follow the organic flow of these elevation lines and river paths, simultaneously representing the varying density of the forest canopy itself, creating a dynamic, serpentine silhouette. The white diamonds, interspersed throughout, represent the fleeting highlights of light and water reflecting within the deepest parts of the woods.
