Description

This poster is designed for the National Boomtan Clothing Festival of Iran, which includes two sections: fashion design and the creation of motifs and decorations for garments and textiles. The typography is formed through the arrangement of precise sewing pattern pieces from various types of clothing, which together evoke Persian letterforms and shape the festival title, “Boomtan,” at first glance. The presence of traditional motifs within some patterns creates a bridge between industrial construction and cultural identity, linking contemporary fashion techniques with Iranian ornamental arts. The dominant orange background suggests energy, creativity, and the atmosphere of the workshop, while its texture recalls pattern paper and the process of making. Overall, it is intended to go beyond a purely informative poster and act as a visual statement about the transformation from pattern to identity and from scattered parts to a unified whole. This reflects process, structure, and meaning.
