Description
At Didag Eco-Lodge, (meaning eye or vision) we sought to reinterpret vernacular architecture through a contemporary lens rooted in local culture. An organic approach, in harmony with the surrounding nature, guided our design towards minimizing negative visual and ecological impacts on the pristine village environment. This principle inspired genuine collaboration. the villagers contributed not only to constructing the building but to shaping a shared ideal, where respect for nature became a fundamental community value. The panorama of sand dunes and trees stretching toward the shoreline captivates the observer, conveying a pure and joyful sense of wonder. All of this became a pivotal point for incorporating the poetry of Hafez into the design and construction process: (The porch of vision of my eye is your nest).
