Zagros Lodge draws inspiration from the ancient rituals of the Oramanat region, the layered geology of the Zagros Mountains, and the colors of local Kurdish garments. The concept of centuries-old fire festival and is carefully embedded into the mountain slope using native stone. The building reads as an extension of nature rather than an imposed object. From the restaurant, cafe , and guest units, visitors enjoy wide views and a direct connection to the landscape. Durable local materials and precise detailing ensure longevity and construction quality, while protective elements provide safety along the steep terrain. An eco-conscious approach integrates surface water harvesting and renewable energy systems. A range of accommodation types, together with spaces for local rituals and contemplation, meets functional and cultural expectations. Based on vernacular techniques, the project is fully buildable and fosters a lasting emotional bond between people and place.
