Description
Rosta: A Cellular Approach to Adaptable Living Spaces. Rosta is a modular console inspired by the cellular structure of plants, redefining furniture as a living system. The project consists of a fixed central core measuring 105*35*70 cm and movable modules sized 30*35 cm and 35*50 cm, allowing users to reconfigure both composition and function without the need for tools. Each module acts as an independent cell that, when combined with others, forms a dynamic, flexible, and adaptive structure. The handle-free magnetic doors preserve formal simplicity and visual continuity. Crafted from recycled OSB wood in two tonal variations, Rosta can function as a console, bookshelf, bar unit, plant stand, or low partition. The design responds to the needs of contemporary living, compact apartments, and adaptable lifestyles, while its compatibility with both handcrafted and industrial manufacturing enables production at both limited and mass-production scales.
