In the dialect of the Bakhtiari people (one of Iran's most ancient indigenous tribes) the nomadic black tent is called "Bohoon". The Bohoon lounge chair goes beyond being a mere chair; it redefines the nomadic architecture of Iranian tribes. Designed to bridge the gap between ancestral identity and contemporary life, it brings the spirit of nomadic living into a minimalist form. In this piece, the interaction between the static wooden structure and the flexible goat hair covering tells a story of resilience and ancestral ingenuity. The use of hand-woven goat hair fabric (a material long used as climatic shelter and the primary material of the nomadic black tent) is not only a material choice, but also a statement on sustainability and vernacular materials. "Bohoon" translates a rich cultural legacy into a visual and tactile experience for contemporary interiors, inviting a dialogue between tradition and modernity.
