Description
In the design of this car showroom, due to spatial limitations, the primary focus of the project was placed on lighting design and environmental graphics as an approach to present the vehicles in a more impactful and high-quality manner. In this project, the history of various automobile brands has been graphically illustrated across the walls of the showroom. The lighting design was developed in four layers: 1.general lighting through translucent backlit Barrisol panels; 2.straight and fragmented linear lights inspired by the dynamic lines of car bodies; 3.LED panel lights in halogen dimensions to emphasize the vehicle's form, contours, and details; and 4.adjustable spotlights to create visual focus on selected cars. Altogether, these lighting strategies were designed to enhance the visual quality of the space and highlight the sculptural character of the automobiles.
