Description
Glow Friend is a lighting object inspired by joy, imagination, and living forms. Its shape comes from childhood memories of dinosaurs and fictional creatures, beings we imagine but have never truly seen. This mystery makes them playful and emotionally powerful. The project explores the idea of a creature that may never have existed, or perhaps belonged to an ancient extinct species transformed into a lighting object. The design moves away from cold industrial forms and creates an object with personality and emotional presence. Even when switched off, Glow Friend feels like a living companion rather than a functional product. Its curved body, vibrant colors, and organic proportions create warmth and happiness in the space. The prototype is made of reinforced fiberglass, making it lightweight, durable, and safe for children. It is finished with washable nitrocellulose paint and designed for both children and the inner child within adults.
