Description
"Shizavo" emerges from Bardia's experience with schizophrenia, where perception occasionally loses coherence and external stimuli become overwhelming. Rather than treating architecture as a cure, the project uses space to reduce perceptual pressure and regulate the relationship between the individual and the environment. Embedded within the earth, the house remains quiet within the village. Raw materials, controlled light, and minimal spaces soften sensory tension and create stability. Subterranean paths and contemplative spaces reduce stimuli, offering moments of calm for a fragmented mind.
Company information
Today Studio, founded by Hashem Babaei in 2012, works between architecture, product design, and sculpture. The studio is based on narration, transparency, interdisciplinary interaction, simplicity in form, and depth in detail.
