Description
In this poster, I wanted to convey the environmental impact of deforestation through a visual metaphor. I used the image of bird skulls and bones to form the shape of an axe, symbolizing the hidden violence behind cutting down forests. This composition reflects how every axe strike does not only destroy trees, but also takes away the homes and lives of birds and other living creatures. The shadow plays an important role in reinforcing this idea, as it visually connects the axe to death and destruction. Through the use of symbolic composition, shadow art, and negative space, I aimed to create a dark and emotional image that encourages viewers to think about the consequences of human actions on nature.
