Fluid Bench is an urban seating system developed in response to the diminishing presence of pause in contemporary public space. Rather than functioning as a fixed object, it is conceived as a small urban architecture that accommodates different modes of temporary occupation, including sitting, reclining, reading, and short rest. Its continuous and fluid form allows the body to interact with the bench in a more flexible and humane way, while maintaining a clear and restrained architectural identity. The project combines exposed concrete, a curved metal seating surface, timber elements, and washed concrete planter volumes into a unified structure. Subtle perforated lighting, powered by solar energy, introduces a quiet nocturnal presence and gives the bench a secondary role in shaping the atmosphere of parks and plazas after dark. Integrated charging ports extend its functionality without overpowering the spatial experience.
