Description
This project is an attempt to deconstruct the meaning of the stair as one of architectures most familiar typologies. By removing its function, direction, and usability, the stair is transformed from a practical architectural element into an autonomous spatial object a form suspended between architecture, sculpture, and abstraction.he familiar geometry of movement is fragmented, folded, and reassembled into a non-functional composition. No longer guiding the body through space, the form instead confronts perception itself.The piece is constructed using discarded steel sheets generated during the fabrication of industrial staircases materials that once belonged to a functional system of circulation and now continue to carry the memory of movement and utility within a new form.
