Description
Rasht Municipality Square, a gathering without architectural objects in the night atmosphereThe aesthetic presence of the architectural object and the society of isolation. The main issue in the design of the Rasht Municipality Square tea house is critical with this paradox: in a square full of formless social interactions, where is the place of the architectural object in social events and cultural exchanges, and based on what function can the tea house object claim the subject?? Instead of looking for a beautiful object, we demand the aesthetic presence of the object. In this project, we tried to depict the idea of isolation, which is the main characteristic of modern cities, by creating an isolated space. As Walter Benjamin says, the street is a place where a person experiences loneliness in the midst of a crowd. Our tea house is a space for lonely people to sit together.
